Fish Tale Charters

Ocean City NJ Fishing Charters: Since last report the Flounder fishing season has started. Right now fishing in the Bay is the place to be fishing. We had to cancel a couple days because of weather yet we did get a couple fishing trips off the dock. The Bay fishing has started off pretty good. It’s not what I would call red hot fishing yet it is decent. It is looking like a better start this year than last year.

Ocean City NJ Fishing Charters: Each of the days we fished in the Bay we had decent action. On one of the trips we did better catching Flounder on the out going tide and the next day the in coming tide was better. On either tide our rods were bent with Flounder on the hook. There were a few times on each trip in which the bite was slow. When things got a bit slow we would make a move to a slightly different location. Usually we were able to get back on the Flounder and they were biting. That’s a good thing.

Ocean City NJ Fishing Charters: On each of the fishing trips we caught most of the Flounder on Minnows yet we did try Bucktails and caught a few. The Flounder that were bigger we caught on the Minnows. The keeper Flounder we caught on each trip were also caught on Minnows. I did notice that the water temperature this year is warmer than it was last year. The warmer water will make a big difference in how the Flounder will bite. Even if the difference is a few degrees. Last year the water temperature was in the middle to upper 50’s. This year the Bay water is around 61 or 62 degrees and the fishing is better than last year so far.
