Fish Tale Charters
Since last report we have not fished on Fish Tale Charters Ocean City NJ Bay & Ocean Fishing Charters. This is the lull in the season. I don’t have any trips in the book until Monday Sept. 10th, then I have booked Saturday Sept. 22nd. So there are days open to be booked. Give me a call. Black Sea Bass season is closed until October 8th. We are currently fishing for Flounder. The Flounder season is closing in 16 days. The last day we can catch and keep Flounder is September 22nd. We are also fishing for Croakers & Weakfish when they are around. The weather is going to be an issue starting this Saturday Sept. 8th into next week. For Saturday as of now the Marine forecast is saying we are to have NE wind 15 to 20mph with gusts to 25mph. The seas are building to 4 to 6ft. NOT FISH-ABLE! By Monday the wind is to be 20 to 25mph with gusts to 30mph. Seas building to 7 to 10ft. EVEN WORSE CONDITIONS! Hurricane Florence out in the Atlantic down by Bermuda is helping this problem. Given this report I don’t know if we will be fishing next week. We will see.
Fish Tale Charters
Here on our Fish Tale Charters Ocean City NJ Bay & Ocean Fishing Charters. In the fall we offer 2 types of STRIPED BASS fishing charters. The first is the FALL BAY STRIPED BASS FISHING charter. As soon as the water temperature drops enough in October, (we are hoping mid to late October) we will be able to get this trip started. If not in October, definitely we will be a go in November and early December. On the Fall Bay Striped Bass trip we fish for the resident Stripers. This charter fishing trip is totally dependent on the high tide. Because of this, there are some dates that will not work. Contact Capt. Craig for help on what dates are good and what dates are not going to work.
Fish Tale Charters Ocean City NJ Bay & Ocean Fishing Charters The second STRIPED BASS fishing charter is the FALL OCEAN STRIPED BASS FISHING trip. On the Ocean Striped Bass trip we are depending on the migrating Stripers coming down from the New England states where they have spent the summer. In choosing a date on this trip to book. Over the past 8 years the dates to choose are from the week of THANKSGIVING on. In early November the water temperatures have not dropped enough in the ocean to bring the bait down the beach. Therefore the BASS have not been showing up in our area until late November. When they have finally shown up the fishing can be very good. Give Capt. Craig a call for information on these two trips or to book your STRIPED BASS CHARTER.
