Fish Tale Charters Bay Ocean Fishing Report Ocean City NJ. First the Bay part of the report. The Flounder have departed the Bay for the most part. Once in a while you may catch a small Fluke, even more elusive in the Bay are the keeper size Fluke. I went out in the Bay early this week and it was not very good. In the 4 hour trip we caught 2 Flounder total. One was not more than 12″ and went back to the Bay to grow for next year. The other One we got very lucky and just made the legal size of 18″. We caught both Fluke within the first half hour of the trip. The rest of the trip was pretty boring, not even a bite. So the Bay trips are not dependable any longer to bend the rods with small or keeper Flounder. With that said, I have shut the Bay Flounder trip down for this 2019 season. The next time we will fish the Bay will be in October when we start the FALL BAY STRIPED BASS TRIP. Looking forward to that!

We Catch The Fish Tales Are Made Of.

Fish Tale Charters Bay Ocean Fishing Report Ocean City NJ. When we have been able to get out into the Ocean to fish it has been a bit of a guessing game if we will catch or not. The first thing has been the wind which on many days has kicked up the Ocean and made it a nasty place to be. With nasty Wind/Ocean conditions we have had to stay tied in the slip at the dock for too many days. On the days that were fish-able in the Ocean it depended on if it was a lucky day or not so luck a day for fishing. On the not so lucky days the fishing was very slow with not much if anything to show. On the lucky days we did pretty well. We bent rods for most of the trip and put some nice fish in the fish box for dinner. The fishing in the Ocean has been unpredictable. With this hurricane now in the Atlantic Ocean it may make things even more unpredictable or it could be pretty good. Over the years I have seen it go both ways after a big storm goes past us in the Ocean. I guess we will find out once the Ocean settles down. It will take a few days for the Ocean to settle once the storm passes. Stay Tuned!
