Fish Tale Charters Back Bay Striped Bass Fishing Report

Back Bay Striped Bass Fishing.

Fish Tale Charters Back Bay Striped Bass Fishing Report. Can someone tell me when the wind is going to stop blowing? This has been the worst fall I can remember. There has only been a few days that we have been able to leave the dock to fish. Talk about being frustrated. Yesterday the wind was blowing out of the East 30 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. It blew that way through the night. Today it is blowing West North West 20 to 25 mph gusts to 40 mph. The next issue will be the water, it is going to be dirty as hell. The Bay will be muddy from all the silt that is going to be churned up off the bottom from the wind. The question is, how long will it take the Bay water to settle down and clear up. Even if the wind does not blow for several days it will take time. HOW LONG? Looking at the long term forecast the wind may be an issue for a while. You can’t catch Striped Bass if the water is dirty or the wind blowing. Trying to find clean water will be impossible. I can not control the weather or the fishing. That job is Mother Natures. As you know, You can’t fool with Mother Nature. So we sit and wait for a break to go fish. One of only 4 days we fished since the beginning of October was last Monday 11/12. READ ON!

Back Bay Striped Bass Fishing.

Fish Tale Charters Back Bay Striped Bass Fishing Report. Last Monday we did have a small break in the weather. We gave it a shot. The action was slow. I made numerous stops at different spots before we did hook 2 Bass. (I think they felt sorry for us) The Bass we caught did not make the grade. One was 20″ the other was 22″ and went back to the Bay to grow for another day. We fished for another hour and a half or so and did not get touched. The water was dirty. It was a brackish color. Most guys I talked to that day on the radio did not catch at all. Everyone was complaining about the dirty water. Unfortunately the water did not clear since Monday and with the wind now the water is going to be worse, it will be very dirty like chocolate milk. The days are numbered. I pull the boat out 11/28. The fat lady may be warming up to sing her song. Oh Well.
